China Dec coal exports slump 31.8% YoY, GAC
China exported 0.42 million tonnes of coal in December 2025, slumping 31.8% from a year earlier and down 4.55% from a month ago, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs.

Coal export value was $56.52 million in December, diving 45% on the year and 13.6% on the month. That put the average export price at $134.56/t, down $31.19/t from the preceding year and $14.09/t compared to the previous month.
China exported a total 6.6 million tonnes of coal last year, down 1% from a year ago, which was worth $952.62 million, down 25.1% year on year, data showed.
The country's coke and semi-coke exports amounted to 1 million tonnes in December, 80.2% higher than the same period last year, and the export value increased 35.9% from the year-ago level to $154.58 million.
Total coke exports stood at 7.94 million tonnes in 2025, down 4.5% year on year; the export value was $1.31 billion, declining 31.6% compared with the same period last year.
China's exports of cement and cement clinker totaled 1.52 million tonnes in December, surging 238.3% year on year, and the value soared 135.3% from the year-ago level to $58.78 million.
The total cement exports were 11.71 million tonnes last year, jumping 118.2% year on year; the export value gained 62.3% on the year to $503.97 million, data showed.
The urea exports in December alone skyrocketed 12,157.1% to 280,000 tonnes, with jumping 21,999.6% to $110.85 million. The whole-year exports reached 4.89 million tonnes, and the value surged 2,025.7% to $2.01 billion.
Coal export value was $56.52 million in December, diving 45% on the year and 13.6% on the month. That put the average export price at $134.56/t, down $31.19/t from the preceding year and $14.09/t compared to the previous month.
China exported a total 6.6 million tonnes of coal last year, down 1% from a year ago, which was worth $952.62 million, down 25.1% year on year, data showed.

Total coke exports stood at 7.94 million tonnes in 2025, down 4.5% year on year; the export value was $1.31 billion, declining 31.6% compared with the same period last year.
China's exports of cement and cement clinker totaled 1.52 million tonnes in December, surging 238.3% year on year, and the value soared 135.3% from the year-ago level to $58.78 million.
The total cement exports were 11.71 million tonnes last year, jumping 118.2% year on year; the export value gained 62.3% on the year to $503.97 million, data showed.
The urea exports in December alone skyrocketed 12,157.1% to 280,000 tonnes, with jumping 21,999.6% to $110.85 million. The whole-year exports reached 4.89 million tonnes, and the value surged 2,025.7% to $2.01 billion.
