China's coal exports fell in June compared with a year earlier, according to customs data.

June coal exports totaled 610,000 tonnes, down 21.5% year on year but up 56.41% from the previous month.

Export value stood at $83.63 million, down 22.9% year on year and up 32.71% month on month, implying an average export price of $137.10/t, down $2.11/t from a year earlier and down $24.48/t from a month ago.

For the first half of 2026, cumulative coal exports reached 2.76 million tonnes, down 17.1% year on year, with export value totaling $407.72 million, down 19.9%.

Coke and semi-coke exports in June were 770,000 tonnes, up 51.4% year on year, with value at $140.96 million, up 66.2%. January-June cumulative exports stood at 4.01 million tonnes, up 14.4%, with value at $699.83 million, up 12.9%.

Cement and clinker exports in June totaled 2.05 million tonnes, up 110% year on year, with value at $80.64 million, up 88.5%. First-half cumulative exports reached 13.5 million tonnes, up 225.4%, with value at $503.11 million, up 163.4%.

Urea exports in June were 10,000 tonnes, down 89.2% year on year, with value at $2.34 million, down 90.3%. January-June cumulative exports totaled 500,000 tonnes, up 551.9%, with value at $198.51 million, up 648.7%.
