Eastern China's Anhui province produced 8.52 million tonnes of raw coal in October 2025, falling 3.5% year on year, according to data from the provincial statistics bureau.

In the first ten months, the province's raw coal output totaled 85.20 million tonnes, 3.1% lower than the year-ago level, data showed.

ln October, local power companies above designated size (20 million yuan revenue from main businesses) generated 29.49 TWh of electricity, a 16.9% increase on the year.

Power generation from hydro, wind, and solar sources registered year-on-year declines last month, down 1.9%, 1%, and 12.5%, respectively, while thermal power generation climbed by 20% from the previous year.

The cumulative power generation over January-October dipped 0.7% from a year ago to 293.07 TWh in Anhui province.

In addition, the province processed 6.37 million tonnes of crude oil in the first ten months, sliding 2.1% on the year, with 570,000 tonnes processed in October alone, down 12.5% year on year.
